Is this software?
No. It is a service. We run the process and send you finished work papers. There is nothing for your team to install or learn.
Do you use AI?
Yes, openly. Software reads your documents and proposes covenant terms and values, each tied to its source page. The covenant math is done by fixed, tested code. A credit professional reads the full financial covenant section of every agreement and reviews every result before you see it, because document tools miss things and our process assumes they will.
Who reviews the work?
Every memo is reviewed and signed by a Trueline Covenant credit reviewer. Tests within 10% of threshold get a second, independent check of inputs.
What do you need from us to start?
The credit agreement, all amendments and waivers, and the borrower's reporting packages. For the free test, one quarter's package is enough.
What if your numbers differ from the borrower's certificate?
We show the difference line by line with the clause reference, and draft the questions you may want to raise. You decide whether and how to raise them.
Do you contact our borrowers?
Only for routine reporting reminders, using contacts and wording you approve, and only if you want us to.
Is this investment or legal advice?
No. We provide analytical work papers based on your documents. Where a definition is genuinely ambiguous, we flag it rather than resolve it.
Can you handle monthly reporting and borrowing bases?
Yes, on the Monitor+ tier. It adds monthly tests, borrowing-base checks and the collections check, with 48-hour turnaround from a complete package.
What is the waiver and amendment log?
A running record for each loan of every waiver, consent, covenant reset, definition change (a higher add-back cap, for example), PIK toggle and extension, each dated and cited to the document. It appears in every memo and as a portfolio page in your quarterly committee pack, with the test re-run on the closing terms where that helps. It is included in every plan. It can only show documents you send us, so please send new waivers and amendments as soon as they are signed.
What is the collections check?
For borrowing-base and receivables facilities on Monitor+, we check each period whether customer collections are reaching the lender-controlled account the way the agreement requires. We compare the collections implied by the aging and the borrowing base certificate with the deposits on the collection, lockbox or DACA account statements you give us, and flag any gap with the figures behind it.
Will the collections check catch fraud?
We can't promise that, and no review of documents can. The check shows where the documents don't line up, which is often the first visible sign of a problem. It is not an audit, a field exam or a bank confirmation, and it relies on the statements you provide. Statements you pull from the bank, or through your own account access, are much harder to alter than copies passed on by the borrower, so we recommend that route.
Will you complete our vendor due-diligence questionnaire?
Yes. We answer every question accurately, including where a control is still being put in place.
Are you SOC 2 certified?
Not today. See the Security page for the controls we have and our plans.
Why is there no phone number?
We keep everything in writing, so every request, document and answer has a record. Calls are by video link; request one through the Book a call page or by email.
